Contract signed with ZICTA

LS telcom wins another contract on the African continent: Contract signed with Zambia Information and Communications Technology Regulatory Authority (ZICTA) for the supply of a spectrum monitoring and management system.

LS telcom has successfully won an international tender and secured another major project on the African continent. A contract for the supply of a nationwide spectrum monitoring system and a spectrum management system with a total value of EUR 4.7 million has been signed with the Information and Communications Technology Regulatory Authority in Zambia.

The spectrum monitoring system offered is based on the proven LS OBERVER platform and includes fixed monitoring stations at several locations in Zambia, monitoring vehicles as well as transportable monitoring devices, all of which are monitored and controlled by a central monitoring control center.

With mySPECTRA, the world's leading system solution for spectrum management will be implemented. As part of the project, relevant licensing processes will be digitized and automated. In addition, an online portal will be provided, which will allow license applicants to submit applications online and to pay license fees online.

"We are extremely happy to welcome ZICTA as another regulatory authority as a new customer of LS telcom. With the system solutions we offer and our experience in implementing such systems, we are convinced to provide ZICTA with the necessary tools to efficiently and effectively manage the valuable resource of radio spectrum" says CEO Dr. Georg Schöne.

With its holistic approach of a fully integrated spectrum monitoring and management system, ZICTA is well positioned to meet the future requirements of a networked and digital society from a regulatory perspective.

With the signed contract LS telcom confirms its leading role in the African regulatory market.
